- Mis-direction - you type in IBM.com and you go to a gambling site or a porn site. You are not going to where you want.
- Eccessive Slowdown when online. The computer operates normally until you go online - then it becomes all-but-useless.
- Bounced emails that you did not send. You get a whole bunch of emails that say that you sent them - you did not. You continue to get these emails. (It is common to get a bounced email every once-in-a-while that says you sent it. In this latter case, it is probably a result of a spammer sending emails addressed as being from you. If you get several in a very short time period you should make sure you're not infected.)
- Your computer works but will not go online.
